US HR & Payroll

Hiring, managing and ending employment in the United States.

US employment is freer than the Italian equivalent, but it is not free of rules: they change from state to state and cover hiring, hours, leave, safety, confidentiality and termination. We prepare the documents and keep the company on the right side of them.

What it covers

Hiring and agreements

Offer letters, confidentiality and non-compete agreements where they are enforceable, and correct classification between employees and independent contractors.

Policies and employee handbook

An employee handbook and internal policies aligned with state law: hours, time off, leave, use of company tools, reporting procedures.

Benefits and health insurance

Setting up health and retirement plans, choosing providers, employer obligations and communications to employees.

Terminations

Handling the paperwork on exits, final pay, notice requirements and separation agreements where needed, so the relationship closes cleanly.

"At will" does not mean without rules.

The idea that employment can end at any time is only partly true: anti-discrimination rules still apply, so do documentation requirements, state law on accrued vacation and notice, and the exceptions each state carves out. US disputes almost always start from missing documents, not from wrong decisions.

That is why we insist on the boring part — letters, policies, a paper trail — which is also what protects the company when a relationship ends badly.
